May madness

We are so excited it is May, and that the weather finally seems to be holding still. We have been out for walks, weeding the garden, many trips to the playground, and sometimes just sitting on the porch soaking up the rays. I got Chet some Zyrtec, which seems to be muting his allergies a little so he can enjoy the outdoors with the rest of us.

I don't know how many of you are aware, but Gymboree has classes for kids 0-5 now. Play classes, music classes, art classes, and global classes. They offer a free trial to a class of your choice, so Luke and I went to a music class this morning. He had a blast. We learned about Reggae music - different rhythms and instruments. The parents stay and help their children learn. There were about 10 kids total, and their moms. The whole way home Luke kept asking me where the other children were (by name - where is Mia? Where is John?) He had such a fun time, i think we will definitely be back. I wish I brought my camera to show you what it was like, but here is the link - check it out!

Annie is a professional smiler now-a-days. The best time to catch her smiling is when she is sleeping, when she has just eaten, or when she has the hiccups. As scared as she is of Luke, he is the best at making her smile. She has also begun the "goos" and "aahhs". Luke thinks that is pretty funny! "Mom, Annie said 'hi luke!' " Also new with Annie - she now sports a pair of silver EARINGS! She looks so pretty with them, and they don't seem to bother her, so good news!

Last night Aaron and Alma came over for a cheese fondu dinner and then we watched a movie after. Luke LOVES Aaron so so much, but may like Alma even a little more...if that's possible. He asks me at least 5 times a day, "mom, do you member Alma?", and then "She is very nice". I think this all came about when I gave him a pep talk on the way over to meet her a few weeks ago. He is always so shy when he first meets someone so I thought I would tell him he was going to meet her to soften the situation up a little. Needless to say it did not work, he was still so shy. But he warmed up quickly giving her hugs, kisses, and even showing off a little. We are glad she is coming into this family, what a sweet girl!

Annie's earrings are super cute!!

I got one of those free coupons to go the class too, and I was really hoping we could find a way to go but we just live too far away to travel there for a one hour class. We'd be driving longer than the class is. Glad to hear they are fun though.

Also I hope we get to meet Alma soon, we might be coming out for Katie's wedding but I'm not sure.

Oh...I've never seen Annie smile. I can't believe you managed to get a picture of her. She is just beautiful!

I can't get over how adorable those pictures of Annie are. They are precious way to go on capturing the smile. It's hard to do!
