Baby Contest!

Well, as most of you know our little Annie Evans won third place in the the Orem City baby contest on Saturday! Luke thought he won because he got to go up on stage (Annie was at home sleeping with Chet) and accept Annie's prize! (a bag with a bunch of little snacks in it) It was a pretty serious event, it seemed, for some of these mothers. Then Luke and I bought a bunch of tickets and strolled around riding rides for an hour or so. He had so much fun!
When we got home, Luke was so worn out, so we went straight up to his room for a nap. I went to check on him later, and this is what I found... a little boy who LOVES his underwear!

Tribute to Dad:
I am in the doghouse...I forgot until they mentioned it in sacrament meeting, that it was Fathers' Day yesterday. :-/. Chet made ME breakfast, and wrestled a relentless 2-year-old all morning who did not want to get ready for church. So I owe him an apology, and a few reasons why he is the best Dad in the world.

First of all, I am sorry. I know you heard that a million times yesterday, but I really mean it. You are the most amazing man I have ever met. You get up in the middle night with a tiny baby who won't take a bottle, but you try time and time again hoping to let me get a little more sleep, and also knowing that you have to get up early the next day for work. You make ME breakfast almost every day, yes, even on fathers' day. You let me get out once in a while just by myself, while you stay and play ring leader with our two high spirited children. You teach Luke self control, patience, how not to cry over little things, and how to stay in his bed. :). You do so much for us, WE LOVE YOU DAD!

Ouch! I feel for ya on the forgotten Father's Day. No worries though. That's why they make it EVERY year. So that people will have a chance to make up for the previous year. Haha!

Whats important is you are there for him too! We all make mistakes, but I raised Chet to know we are all not perfect. So forgive yourself, I'm sure Chet does.
